Warm diya lamp glowing softly

A little context, for those who want it.

About

I'm not a therapist, a life coach, or someone who figured it all out. I'm just a person who's been through some things — some of them hard, some of them embarrassing, a few of them quietly beautiful — and found that writing about them honestly helped.

Simply Human started because I kept noticing a gap between how life is supposed to look and how it actually feels. The gap between the advice people give and the reality of being in the middle of something difficult. Between the person you're trying to be and the one who shows up on a fine morning.

About

First and foremost, this is a lived experience through Love.

Not Love as we usually define it.

Not only romance.
Not only marriage.
Not only the relationship between two people.

Love, for many of us, begins much earlier than romance

It begins with our Grand parents,Parents, siblings, extended family, teachers, friends, and the many people who enter our lives and, in ways big or small, become part of who we are.

My upbringing in a gaint family taught me to see Love as something much simpler and much larger — plain, unconditional, and human.

Romantic love and marriage are, of course, part of life. But they are not the whole of it.

Over the years, I have experienced love in many forms, and along with it, I have experienced almost everything that makes us human — happiness, disappointment, attachment, loss, hope, anger, fear, forgiveness, loneliness, gratitude, silence, acceptance and, sometimes, the difficult process of letting go.

This space comes from those experiences.

I am not writing from a place of having figured life out. I am writing from having lived it, observed it, questioned it, struggled with it, and sometimes simply allowed it to unfold.

So when you read something here about Love, please don't begin with the assumption that I am speaking only about a romantic relationship.

Read it as the experience of a person who has travelled through many relationships and many emotions — and who has come to believe that a piece of mind can come from understanding all of them, not from finding the one person who is supposed to complete us.

Some experiences may be beautiful.
Some may be uncomfortable.
Some may be difficult to explain.

There may be no lesson at the end of every piece.

Sometimes, there is simply an experience that needed to be expressed.

And perhaps, somewhere in those words, you may recognise a little of your own life.

This is my space to write — not to preach, not to blame, and not to tell anyone how to live.

Just to share a lived experience, honestly.

Through Love.
Through all the emotions that followed.
And through the continuing journey of understanding what it means to be human.

What this space is

A place for stories. Real ones — the kind where I got it wrong, changed my mind, felt lost, found something small that helped, or simply sat with something I couldn't fix. No prescriptions. No tidy conclusions. Just the honest account.

If something here resonates, I'm glad. If it doesn't, that's fine too. We're all navigating different terrain.

What it isn't

  • A self-help guide
  • A lecture or sermon
  • A place where everything gets resolved neatly
  • Advice you should follow

The light of love and peace

It simply lights… quietly, steadily, for as long as it can.

If you've found your way here during a difficult season — welcome. You don't have to be okay. You just have to keep going.
